CARY, N.C. – After receiving their Freedom Award at the Pentagon on August 22, the team from SAS held a reception at their world headquarters in Cary Aug. 28. The reception was hosted by their head of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team led by Danielle Pavliv and the SAS Military Network committee led by Dan Schaub a U.S. Airforce veteran and committee chairman.

WASHINGTON -- Every member of the National Guard and Reserve forms a link in the chain of honor that stretches back far before our Nation’s founding. Fifteen Exceptional Employers Recognized for Top Honor
WASHINGTON – The Department of Defense is pleased to announce the 15 recipients of the 2024 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award--the highest U.S. government honor to employers for support of National Guard and Reserve employees.
RALEIGH, N.C. – The director of the SAS Governance, Risk & Compliance legal department was recognized for their support to U.S. Army Reserve Chief Warrant Officer 2 and SAS Audit Security Advisor, Scott Dayton May 8 at the SAS campus in Cary.
CARY, N.C. – Kellanova, formerly known as the Kellog Company, received the Department of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award for their extraordinary support to U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Mark Shaw at their Cary plant April 25.
ARLINGTON, Va. – Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III has appointed retired Command Sgt. Maj. John F. Sampa, as the National Chair for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. ESGR’s National Chair is an official Department of Defense volunteer position.
