FLINT, Mich - Optum Specialty Pharmacy General Manager Riad Abboud, and Supervisor Bethany Folland were presented with the ESGR Patriot Award. They were nominated by Capt. Jeby Matthew, of the 384th Military Police Battalion in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Matthew wrote, “Mrs. Bethany Folland supervisor of Optum Specialty Pharmacy and General Manager Riad Abboud [are recognized] for their incredible support of my Army duties and obligations.  As commander, I am in charge of many soldiers and there are times when I am called on with short notice to address soldier and mission issues.  They both have been a tremendous help in working with my schedule which helps both my unit and my soldiers as well as the 384th Military Police Battalion.”

During this presentation, General Manager Abboud also signed the ESGR Statement of Support, furthering their commitment to supporting our nation's service members. The awards were presented by ESGR volunteers Cindy Sanders and Paul DeSander, ESGR East Area Chair.
