SPOKANE, Wash. – Scott Martin, Business Valuation & Litigation Support Partner at Anastasi, Moore & Martin, PLLC, was presented with a Patriot Award by Jim Wynne, east area chair for the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee, in recognition of extraordinary support of his employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.
Martin was nominated by Army National Guardsman 1st Lt. Lauren Teal, a para-professional at Anastasi, Moore & Martin. “Upon being hired at Anastasi, Moore & Martin, PLLC, Scott and his board immediately adopted a military leave and policy allowing me to be paid for days when I’m required to attend drill or travel unexpectedly,” said Teal. “This goes above and beyond legal policy.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Wynne. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.”
“They took the time on Veterans Day to recognize me and prior-service members at my firm,” Teal said regarding the support she has received while working at Anastasi, Moore & Martin. “They give me all the resources and freedom to work and serve simultaneously. I am very lucky to have Scott as my supervisor.”
National Guard and Reserve members bring tremendous skills and capabilities to our workforce, and employer support for their military service is critical to maintaining the strength of our Guard and Reserve units,” said Wynne. “By valuing the military service of their Guard and Reserve employees, employers are directly supporting the readiness and retention of our All-Volunteer Force, and our national defense.”
“Lauren will be successful at whatever she puts her mind to. She has put her mind to expanding and furthering her education and has a strong desire to learn and apply her knowledge to assisting others making their lives better,” said Martin. “She has made my life and the lives of our team and clients better and although she is a key team member.”
