ESCANABA, Mich. – Congratulations to Ronald "Jim" Harsh from the Escanaba Vet Center for receiving the ESGR Patriot Award. Harsh was nominated by Capt. Michael Sippola of the Army National Guard.

Harsh stated, "He has provided unwavering support, and demonstrated great flexibility which has allowed me to focus on my mission and family needs when serving or preparing to serve. As I write this I am mobilized overseas. Jim has been supportive to the point of taking on parts of my caseload, increasing his workload, to include driving 2 hours round trip to cover my biweekly groups in my area of service. Jim places emphasis on military service and is an advocate for Veterans and current Service members."

Jim himself is a veteran of the Army National Guard and therefore understands how important a supportive supervisor is. Thank you Jim for all that you do.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Escanaba Vet Center offers confidential services for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting.
