SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich - Larry Bitnar, owner of Bitnar Construction, was presented with the ESGR Patriot Award Dec. 22. Bitnar was nominated for the award by Pfc. Marah Rice of the Army National Guard.

Rice stated, "Larry Bitnar, is always flexible with my National Guard Schedule, he's always open to giving me days to relax after or before as-well. He's definitely one of the best employers that I've had. Larry has emotional support for me as well when things get hard, he's always there for me and to spot me when I need it most. I've worked for Larry for quite a while now, and he's never done me wrong. Giving this award to him would mean a lot to me and I'm sure a lot to him as well. He does the best he can for his employees no matter what the circumstances. He's truly a great man and great employer."
